Bead-based Multiplexing Assay for PRA Screening
LABScreen reagents are powered by Luminex® xMAP® technology, a microbead platform used to deliver multiplex antibody assays in high-PRA patients. This single antigen-bead based assay allows for a precise determination of antibody profiles against HLA, MICA or HNA. The proven reliability of LABScreen’s consistency, high sensitivity and robustness for PRA screening has gained rapid momentum in the transplant community.

LABScreen MICA
Some studies suggest a relationship between MICA antibodies and solid organ transplant rejection where no HLA antibodies are detected. LABScreen MICA was created for HLA antibody screening and identification of MHC class I related chain A (MICA) antibodies. A valuable tool for specificity assignment, each recombinant MICA (rMICA) antigen is coated on a separate bead population. Advanced custom analytic capabilities are available with the combined use of our HLA Fusion™ Software and multiplex analyzer, LABScan™ 100 or LABScan3D™.
Features & Benefits
- Quickly identifies Class I MICA antibodies in high PRA patients
- Identifies negative or safe antigens, even for high PRA patients
- Confirms specificity by replacing dilution and absorption as strategies
- Clarifies ambiguous results
- Clarifies analysis of antibodies reactive to one or several dominant epitopes
LABScreen Mixed
A screening test dedicated to detecting antibodies agains HLA Class I and Class II in addition to MHC Class I related chain A (MICA), another factor shown to cause transplant rejection. With its ease of use, processing up to 96 samples simultaneously, LABScreen Mixed, is well-suited for monthly patient antibody screening in both low and high throughput laboratories.
Features & Benefits
- Identifies HLA Class I/II, and MICA
- Single tube protocol
- Suited for low and high throughput laboratories
LABScreen® Ancillary Reagents
Ancillary products for use with LABScreen such as control beads and serum, Adsorb Out, Quantiplex Beads, wash buffer, and other reagents.
LABScreen Multi
LABScreen Multi is a screening tool for antibodies against both the HLA and Human Neutrophil Antigens (HNA). Antibodies against HNA are implicated in a variety of clinical conditions, including Transfusion Related Acute Lung Injury (TRALI). This mulitplex assay qualitatively measures the presence of specific HLA/HNA antibodies in a human serum or plasma sample.
LABScreen® PRA
Determines percent PRA and identifies antibody specificities using a panel of color-coded microbeads coated with HLA antigens purified from different cells. Class I and Class II assays may be tested separately or together. Utilizes the LABScan™ 100 or LABScan3D™ for analysis of up to 100 or 500 bead regions, respectively, in a single test.
Features & Benefits
- 96 samples can be tested sequentially using the X-Y platform
- Identifies negative or safe antigens, even for high PRA patients
- Detects IgG antibodies
- Ideal for low volume and high throughput laboratories
LABScreen® Single Antigen
Donor Specific Antibody Monitoring — A New Standard of Care
LABScreen Single Antigen assays leverage Luminex® bead-based multiplexing technology for monitoring Donor Specific Antibodies (DSA) in high-PRA patients for both pre- and post-transplant applications. This single antigen-bead based assay allows for a precise determination of antibody profiles against HLA, MICA or HNA. The proven reliability of LABScreen’s consistency, high sensitivity and robustness for PRA screening has gained rapid momentum in the transplant community.
Application
In high PRA patients, antibody reactive to one or more dominant epitopes can mask the presence of additional antibody specificities. Conventional clarification methods may not be effective in these cases. LABScreen Single Antigen is designed to screen HLA Class I and Class II antibodies that are reactive to one or more dominant epitopes providing clinicians a comprehensive assay to evaluate antigens found frequently in the population.
LABScreen® Single Antigen Supplement
LABScreen Single Antigen product family is used to help advance DSA monitoring by screening antibodies against HLA antigens found in higher frequencies among certain regional populations. When used in conjunction with LABScreen Single Antigen, the comprehensive panel of common and rare HLA antigens accurately defines HLA antibodies in complex sera from around the world.
Features & Benefits
- 96 samples can be tested sequentially using the X-Y platform
- Identifies negative or safe antigens, even for high PRA patients
- Detects IgG antibodies
- Ideal for low volume and high throughput laboratories
